
Kermit “Dale” Evans, of Paris, Tennessee, passed away at his residence Thursday, March 21, 2024.
Saturday, September 10, 1949, in Paris, Tennessee, Dale was born to the late Kermit Evans and Pauline Boyd Dolan. His three brothers: Billy Joe Evans, Jerry Evans, and Terry (Carol) Evans, all preceded him in death.
Mr. Evans was a U.S. Army Veteran, serving from June 1968 until May 1971.
He was a supervisor for Emerson Electric of Paris for some seventeen years and was an active longtime member of the Paris-Henry County Rescue Squad serving as Captain for 12 years.
He married his beloved wife of 39 years: Betsy Ann Freeland Evans, of Paris, Tennessee, Monday, February 25, 1985.
Dale is survived by: his daughter: Stephanie Nicole Hamlin (Mark Williams), of Springville; his granddaughter: Emily Nicole Hamlin, of Springville; his sister: Velva Lee Perry, of Seymour, Tennessee; his nieces: Dianne (Mike) Ledford, Leigh Anne (Mark) Roberts, and Sherry (Chris) Mustain; his nephews: Chris (Allison) Evans and Bob (Donna) Evans; his mother-in-law: Martha Jo Freeland, of Paris; his sisters-in-law: Jennifer Jo (Ivan) Hawtof and Patsy Evans. Dale is also survived by numerous other family members and friends.

His visitation will be at McEvoy Funeral Home on Saturday, March 23, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and after 11:00 a.m. Sunday until time of his service. Dale’s funeral service will take place 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 24, 2024, at McEvoy Funeral Home. He is to be buried at Memorial Cemetery following funeral services.
Mr. Evan’s pallbearers include: Ted Hart, Danny Tucker, Monte Starks, Mitch Sykes, Mark Rudy, and Diane McGuire; Honorary pallbearers are members of the Rescue Squad and James McFarland.
