McKenzie, Tenn.–A great time was had by all Saturday as hundreds of children (and adults) gathered at the McKenzie City Park for the annual Easter Egg Drop. A helicopter piloted by Andrew Bigham of AeroLuxe Aviation dropped some 50,000 eggs for the event. One of the organizers Monica Heath said the event was a definite success, with four hunts for different age groups full of people “and we even had a charter bus with people” show up. “All 50,000 eggs were gone and all vendors sold out”, she said.
Organizers thanked all the volunteers, which included students from Bethel University, McKenzie High School, Tennessee Promise. “We had people from all over West Tennessee” come to the event. “And lastly THANK YOU McKenzie Chamber Membership and Sponsorship Investors for giving back to the community.” Monica Heath photo.
