Truman Ray Miller

Mr. Truman Ray Miller, 78, of Big Rock, Tennessee, passed away peacefully Tuesday, April 9, 2024, at Dover Care Center Nursing Home.

He was born Wedenesday, August 1, 1945, the son of the late Winfield and Beula Compton Miller. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers: Dean Miller, Wilbert Miller, Roger Miller, Wayne Miller and Ronald Miller; grandson, Caleb Miller and grand-pup, Avery.

Truman loved the Lord.

He was a member and served as the pastor for several years at Fairview Baptist Church, Dover, Tennessee.

He worked many years as a quality manager and supervisor at Ely & Walker and Carhartt clothing factories.

Truman was a big fan of St. Louis Cardinals and TN Vols.

Truman was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and loyal friend to many.

He is survived by his daughter: Kendra Crowe; son: Jonathan Miller; sister: Ilene “Sissie” Miller; grandchildren: Kylee Crowe, Chloe Crowe, Breannidy Miller and Madison Miller; nieces: Julie Milliken, Stephanie Kelley and Stormie Black; and nephew: David Welker.

A visitation and memorial service will be held at Fairview Baptist Church on April 13, 2024. Visitation will begin at 11:00 am and continue until the memorial service at 1:00 pm with Bro. William Gray officiating. The family request if you are able to attend the service, please feel free to wear St. Louis Cardinals or TN Vols attire.

The family request in lieu of flowers or memorials, donations be made to Anglin Funeral Home to assist with funeral arrangements.
