Several Fire Departments Battle Henry Brush Fire

Henry, Tenn.–Henry firefighters responded to another brush fire, this one at 869 Macedonia Rd around 1:30 yesterday. This one was estimated to be 15.8 acres in size.
Upon arrival the fire was found to be burning in rough terrain, wooded areas, as well as in some open fields. Due the size and terrain of the fire, the decision was made pretty quickly to call out for mutual assistance from surrounding departments for manpower and off road capable equipment, according to the press release.
Mutual aid was provided by Paris Fire, Mansfield Fire, Como Fire, McKenzie, Carroll County Fire district 10, Carroll County fire district 1 and the Tennessee Forestry Department.
“Our dispatch team did an amazing job of providing support and helping to get all of these departments on scene. Total of 8 Engines ,9 brush units and two forestry dozers. Total personnel was 40”, at the scene.
“Because of everyone’s hard work and willingness to work together, the fire was quickly contained and a fire line was established all the way around it. There were zero injuries reported, and zero structures damaged because of the professionalism and hard work of mostly volunteers!!!”
