Paris, TN – Hope Tusa, a junior at Henry County High School, has been selected to serve on the TSSAA Student Advisory Committee. Tusa is one of 20 students chosen from over 200 applicants in the state who will serve on the board in 2025-26. According to TSSAA, she will represent student-athletes and the TSSAA by “addressing key issues such as rules, regulations and special initiatives.”
Tusa was nominated by her soccer coach, Julian Beard who says, “she was the right person for the position.” Tusa expresses her thanks to Coach Beard, Coach Summers, and Dr. Webb for supporting her application. “I’m appreciative of this opportunity to represent my school.”
The Athletic Director, Steve Summers, states this is the first year for the advisory committee and is proud that Tusa will represent Henry County and the state. “I’m looking forward to Hope attending meetings to plan recognition and appreciation programs for our referees and to promote a positive image of our student-athletes.”
Tusa is the daughter of Brian and Subo Tusa of Henry.
