Henry, Tenn. – Henry Elementary teacher Samantha Murphy directed ‘The Wizard of Oz” which was performed by Henry Elementary School students. “These students went from knowing very little about theater to learning improv skills and games, being able to memorize so many lines, and cues, gaining confidence to speak and act in front of others!”
Seventh grader Chloe Beecham played Dorothy and credits this experience to her being more comfortable in front of a large group of people. Several actors in the play made their debut in the play and thanked teachers and family for their support as they explored a new talent.
