Paris, TN – Beginning on May 27, free meals will be available to all Henry County children up to and including 18 years of age. Each child can receive one breakfast and one lunch each day, including weekends and must be present to receive meals. All meals are grab-and-go for quick and easy pickup.
The Henry County School System Summer Feeding Program will work a little differently this year, according to Director of School Nutrition, Tiffany Latta. “We’re going to distribute one lunch and one breakfast daily Monday through Thursday and then three lunches and three breakfasts on Friday so that children will have meals for the weekend. We aim to serve 1,000 students per day!” This will be the first year meals will be available for the weekends as a benefit to Henry County families.
The program will run from May 27 – July 18 except for one week, June 30- July 6, when no meals will be distributed.
