
Mrs. Rosie B. Curtis Flora Wynn, age 89, passed away at Henry County Hospital on Thursday, June 19, 2025. Her funeral service will be at McEvoy Funeral Home, 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, June 28, 2025, with Bro. Edward Howard of Sparks Street Church of Christ to officiate. Named as pallbearers are John Flora, Randell Curtis, Terry Flora, Tyson Wright, Tyrell Flora, and Skyler Flora. Burial will follow the service in Sunrise Cemetery in Dresden, Tennessee.
Visitation is scheduled from 11:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. on Saturday prior to the the service.
Rosie was born July 25, 1935, in Ore Springs, Tennessee, to the late Clarence Woods and the late Luecinda Curtis. She married Rommie Wynn, Jr., who survives in Paris and was formerly married to John T. Flora who preceded her in death on November 10, 1999. She is also survived by her daughters, Linda Wright of Dresden, Johnnie Flora of Dresden; sons Terry Flora of Dresden, John Flora of Dresden; William Earl Davis of Preston, TN; and Randell Curtis of Paris. Besides her parents he was preceded in death by sisters Willie Ruth Terry and Vivian Viola Cody, brother Raymond Woods, three daughters, Geraldine Sudberry, Patricia Curtis, and Laura Curtis, and two brothers, Roy Lee Curtis and Wallace Ray Curtis, and two great-grandchildren. She is survived by a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Mrs. Rosie attended St. James CME of Dresden and later attended Sparks Street Church of Christ in Paris. She was known to be a wonderful cook and especially for her biscuits and onion gravy. Rosie enjoyed gardening and taking care of her flowers. She was an awesome lady who dearly loved her family but most especially her children and grandchildren.
Rosie was an avid supporter of St. Jude, and her family requests that memorials be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
