Cottage Grove, Tenn.–It is fitting that long-time Cottage Grove Fire Chief John Weiher was the Grand Marshal at the Cottage Grove Freedom Festival parade Friday on the 4th of July. The Freedom Fest was celebrating its 50th anniversary and Weiher has served the community for 50 years in several capacities, including as firefighter, mayor and fire chief. Shannon McFarlin photo.
