
Nancy Carolyn Cary Webb, age 77 of Puryear, TN, passed away on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, TN.
Nancy was born on October 12, 1947, in Waynesboro, TN, to the late Will Fielden “Bill” Cary, and the late Gerneil Hardin Cary.
On June 17, 1966, she married Jerry L. Webb, who survives of Puryear, TN.
Nancy was a longtime member of West Paris Baptist Church before joining New Bethel Baptist Church in Paris. She dedicated 34 years to the Henry County School System as an educator before retiring. Nancy was actively involved in the Retired Teachers Association, where she held several leadership roles, including serving as President. She served on the APSU Family Counsel and was on the Board of Directors for the Henry-Calloway Recreation Corporation. Additionally, she was an active member and officer of the Henry County Band Boosters and a member of the Henry County Golf Boosters.
Nancy enjoyed sewing, reading, and watching sports. She shared a deep love of music with her son, Terry, and took great pride in watching her son, Jamie, play high school and collegiate golf.
In addition to her husband, Nancy is survived by two children, Terrill Webb of Puryear, TN, and Jamie (Jennifer) Webb of Clarksville, TN; one sister, Billie Jean Cary (Larry Green) of Cookeville, TN; one brother, John F. (Cheryl Lambert) Cary of Clarksville, TN; one brother-in-law, Ken Steele of Mt. Juliet, TN; two grandchildren, Parker (Tori) Boyd, and Garrett Webb; and one great-grandchild, Marcy Boyd.
Along with her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by one sister, Frances Cary.
Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street, Paris, TN, 38242, is handling the arrangements. Visitation is scheduled for Friday, July 18, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., and Saturday, July 19, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Ridgeway Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be held at Ridgeway Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 19, 2025, with Cliff Evans officiating.
Burial will follow at Mount Zion Cemetery, with Mike Williams, Johnny Myrick, Larry Green, Garrett Webb, Parker Boyd, and Gary Fletcher serving as pallbearers. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Barrett, Russell Barrett, and Denisa Cate.
