Maxine Phifer, age 79, of Big Sandy, TN passed away on Friday, July 18, 2025. Mrs. Phifer was born on April 17, 1946, in Paris, TN to the late Hulon Kenneth Robins and the late Jessie Cole Robins. Maxine grew up in the Point Mason area of Big Sandy, TN and graduated from Big Sandy High School in 1964. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Harold Phifer; brothers, Joe Robins, George Robins, and Coy Robins; and a sister, Carolyn French. Mrs. Phifer retired after 30 years as a Dept. Manager at Walmart in Paris, TN. She was a member of McRae’s Chapel Methodist Church in Big Sandy, TN. Maxine loved sewing, cooking, and her family.

Visitation with the family will be on Sunday, July 20, 2025, from 11:00-2:00 PM at Stockdale-Malin Funeral Home in Big Sandy, TN.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, July 20, 2025, at 2 PM at Stockdale-Malin Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jeff Phifer officiating. Burial will follow in Ramble Creek Cemetery.
