Paris, TN — Paris-Henry County Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Leslie Henegar announced her resignation today after nine months of impactful leadership. Though her time at the Chamber has been brief, Henegar leaves behind a strengthened organization.

The following is the press release from the Chamber released this morning:

During her tenure, Henegar significantly improved the public image and reputation of the Chamber’s presence in the community by encouraging networking opportunities and member engagement, and showcasing a sincere commitment to supporting local business. Under her leadership, the Chamber welcomed 41 new members, hosted eight educational workshops, and coordinated 27 special business events, including ribbon cuttings and grand openings, across Paris and Henry County.

She also completed the launch of the Chamber’s new website, a critical upgrade that enhances communication and access for members and the broader community. Additionally, she revamped the Chamber newsletter to be a robust and engaging information source, catering to stakeholders not on social media platforms.

Henegar played an integral role in completing the 2025 Henry County tourism project, which included hosting the television crew of RV There Yet? during the iconic World’s Biggest Fish Fry week, thereby shining a spotlight on the region for a national audience.

One of Henegar’s fondest achievements was her leadership of the 2025 Tennessee River Jam in June, which drew record-breaking attendance of more than 6,400 to Downtown Paris. Despite economic challenges, the 2025 event is regarded as one of the most successful in the festival’s history. Most recently, she oversaw the Chamber’s annual fundraiser, the Water Fun Run, held on July 12th. The event welcomed 428 participants across 14 stops and raised more than $20,000 to support Chamber programming.

“It has been an incredible honor to serve my hometown in this role,” said Henegar. “I’m deeply proud of what has been accomplished in such a short time, and I am grateful for the support of our members and the Paris-Henry County community. I am so thankful for the relationships I have built during this time, and will forever be blessed by each individual I have met. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for allowing me to help improve Henry County through my role as Chamber Director. May God continue to bless Henry County in a very special way.”
