Paris, Tenn.–The Henry County Historical Society will hold its regular quarterly meeting on Thursday, August 21, and the preservation of Grove Tower will be in the spotlight. The meeting is at 6 p.m. at the Paris-Henry County Heritage Center, located at 614 North Poplar Street in Paris, Tennessee. Parking is available behind the Center on Highway 641 N.
Following a brief business session—including the election of officers—the program will feature Susan Jones and Ramay Winchester, who will present ideas and potential next steps for the preservation, repair, and adaptive reuse of Grove Tower. This iconic structure listed on the National Register of Historic Places remains a significant piece of Henry County’s architectural and cultural heritage.
The meeting is open to the public, and all are welcome to attend. Individuals interested in supporting local history are encouraged to become members of the Society; annual dues are $10.
