
Mayfield, Ky.–Mayfield-Graves County Fire Chief David Warner was knocked unconscious Sunday night after the department’s fire truck collided with a pickup truck while responding to a brush fire.
The Graves County Sheriff’s Office said Warner was briefly unconscious and airlifted to an out-of-state hospital for treatment.
The crash occurred at the KY-58 and KY-121 interchange in Mayfield after a pickup truck hit the firetruck that Warner was driving. According to the Graves County sheriff’s office, nobody was at fault.
Warner is now back at home and experiencing minimal soreness.
