Candy Wiggins

Candis Lenay “Candy” Wiggins, age 62 of Paris, TN, passed away on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at her residence.

Candy was born in Clarksville, TN, on July 9, 1963, to the late William Darrell Coats, and Clara Belinda Taylor Coats, who survives of Paris, TN.

On March 3, 1997, she married Mike Wiggins, who survives of Paris, TN.

Candy dedicated 31 years to teaching in the Henry County School System. She was the first librarian at Lakewood Elementary School and played a key role in founding the Rock On organization at Henry County High School.

She worked with Doug Taylor Auction Service for many years and was a longtime member of Point Pleasant Baptist Church. She had a deep love for antiques, auctions, books, and cherished time spent with her family.

Along with her husband and her mother, Candy is survived by two sons, Bryce Wiggins of Paris, TN, and Hunter (Brittney) VanDyke of Paris, TN; two sisters, Sonya (Andy) Clark of Paris, TN, and Mitzi (Richard) Schoeberl of Spring Hill, TN; her mother-in-law, Bettie Wiggins of Henry, TN; one brother-in-law, Toney (Kim) Wiggins of Susan Moore, AL; one sister-in-law, April (Jeremy) Potts of Henry, TN; one granddaughter, Olivia VanDyke; and numerous aunts, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Jack Wiggins.

Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street, Paris, TN, 38242, is handling the arrangements. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 7, 2025, and continuing Monday, September 8, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Ridgeway Funeral Home. Her Funeral Service is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. on Monday, September 8, 2025, at Ridgeway Funeral Home with Bro. Robert McBroom and Bro. Larry Dukes officiating.

Burial will follow at Memorial Cemetery with Mike Wiggins, Andy Clark, Richard Schoeberl, Jeremy Potts, Steele Schoeberl, and Toney Wiggins serving as pallbearers. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Duey Payne, Bryce Wiggins, and Blane Houston.
