The Dixie Carter Performing Arts Center is proud to present Grammy-nominated country star Deana Carter live in concert on Friday, October 10, at 7:30 PM.
This special event is made possible by Presenting Sponsor Carroll Bank & Trust, Show Sponsor West TN PUD, and Media Sponsor Froggy 104.
A Nashville native, Deana Carter burst onto the music scene with her wildly successful multi-platinum debut Did I Shave My Legs For This?, featuring the dreamy No. 1 hit “Strawberry Wine.” With her fresh blend of country, retro-rock, and singer-songwriter authenticity, Carter quickly won over both the industry and fans around the globe. The landmark debut produced three consecutive No. 1 singles and became one of country music’s most beloved classics of the ’90s.
Over her career, Carter has released eight albums, including Southern Way of Life on her own Little Nugget Records label. Known for her heartfelt songwriting and unmistakable voice, Carter’s music explores the highs and lows of life, love, and everything in between. She has also co-written chart-topping hits for other artists, including Kenny Chesney’s Grammy-nominated “You & Tequila.”
The daughter of legendary guitarist and producer Fred Carter Jr., Deana grew up surrounded by icons like Willie Nelson, Bob Dylan, Dolly Parton, and Waylon Jennings. Their influence shaped her artistry, which continues to inspire fans and peers alike. Beyond her success as a performer, Carter has served on the Grammy Board of Governors and remains an advocate for artists and creators nationwide.
