“Bart” Sturdivant

Fred Bartley “Bart” Sturdivant, age 75, of Paris, TN, went to be with the Lord, at Baptist Reynolds Hospice House in Collierville, TN on Friday September 26, 2025.

 

Bart was born in Paris, TN on April 16, 1950, to the late Fred L. Sturdivant and to the late Rachel Lampkins Sturdivant.

 

Bart was a graduate of E.W. Grove High School in Paris, TN in 1968 and completed trade school in McKenzie after high school.  He was the owner and operator of Bart Sturdivant Service Company in Paris for over 35 years. He was a member of the Refrigeration Service Engineer Society and a member of the National Rifle Association. Bart was a member of First Baptist Church of Paris. His parents, Fred and Rachel Sturdivant were both long time members at First Baptist as well.

 

He is survived by his cousin, Van (Debbie) Rucker of Collierville, TN along with other survivors; Rachel R. (Taylor) Few of Collierville, TN, Edmund Rucker of Germantown, TN, Laree Brewer of Martin, TN, Brad (Lindsey) Brewer of Martin, TN, and Andy (Kristy) Brewer of Dyersburg, TN.

 

Besides his parents, Bart was also preceded in death a brother in infancy, Edd Ray Sturdivant in 1941.

 

Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street, Paris, TN, 38242, is handling the arrangements. A graveside service will be held Sunday, September 28, 2025, at 2:00 pm at Maplewood Cemetery in Paris.  Brad Brewer and Andy Brewer will speak.
