dpa-david-crockett-3

This weekend, Discovery Park of America invites you to step back in time for the David Crockett Homestead and Heritage Festival, a three-day celebration of frontier life and the early settlers of West Tennessee.

Experience the skills, sounds and stories that shaped our region’s past. Friday will feature hands-on activities and demonstrations designed especially for students, while Saturday and Sunday offer a full weekend of living history, traditional crafts and bluegrass music for the entire community to enjoy.

Throughout the three days, guests can:

  • Watch skilled craftspeople demonstrate traditional frontier skills
  • Meet living historians representing eras from the French and Indian War to World War II
  • Listen to live bluegrass music and participate in a community jam session
  • Browse handcrafted goods from local artisans
  • Enjoy homemade beef stew and chili

This event is free with membership or park admission.
