James Donald “Jimmy” Oliver, age 77 of Paris, Tennessee, passed away on Friday, October 17, 2025 at his residence. A private family graveside celebration of life will be planned for a later date.
Jimmy D. Oliver was born July 4, 1948 in Henry County, Tennessee to the late Lemuel D. Oliver and the late Caroline Barton Oliver. He married Jeanie Oliver on April 16, 1976 and she survives in Paris. He is also survived by his daughter, Christie (Nic) Fields of Paris; son, Justin (Ginger) Oliver of Paris; grandchildren, Drake (Rachel) Gamlin, Cole Gamlin, Maddox Oliver, and Kendall Oliver; great-grandchildren, Ella Gamlin and Parker Gamlin; sister, Kay (Don) Thompson of Nashville; mother-in-law, Jane Gibson; and by several nieces and nephews, other family members and friends.
Besides his parents, Jimmy is also preceded in death by his brother and sister-in-law, Terry and Patsy Oliver.
Mr. Oliver was a member of Sulphur Well Church of Christ. He worked in the real estate business for 47 years. One of Jimmy’s favorite things in life was spending time outdoors and hunting with his family.
