
McKenzie, Tenn.–The McKenzie Rebels scored in every quarter at Friday night’s game to dominate the Fayetteville Tigers in a 39-0 win. They now play for a State Championship for the fourth time in the last five years.
The Rebels are now 13-1, having won 13 straight.
And they face perennial Class A powerhouse, the South Pittsburg Pirates, at 2 p.m. McKenzie time, 3 p.m. Chattanooga time, next Friday at Finley Stadium on the campus of UTC.
Meanwhile, two other local teams will also be traveling to Chattanooga Friday.
The Westview Chargers defeated Covington 40-34 to advance to the Class 3A State Championship against Gatlinburg Pittman next Friday at 10AM CT, 11AM ET.
Huntingdon Mustangs beat Milan 35-34 and advance to the Class 2A State Championship against Marion Co. at 3 p.m. Saturday, December 6.
