Weakley County Schools Supervisor of Transportation Kirsten Rook notified district leadership Tuesday evening of an incident involving a school bus that is believed to have been a hit-and-run on Highway 124. No students were on board at the time, and the bus driver is safe and uninjured.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol is investigating.
School officials said, “The safety of our students, faculty, and staff remains our top priority. We will continue to monitor the situation to ensure the well-being of everyone involved. Weakley County Schools appreciates the quick response from our staff, local first responders, and the Tennessee Highway Patrol.”
