James Earl Paschall

James Earl Paschall, age 82 of Paris, TN, died Sunday, December 21, 2025, at his residence.

James retired in 1999 after working 30 years as a feeder driver for UPS. He enjoyed woodworking, bird watching, and photography. Alongside his wife, he enjoyed camping and traveling. During their travels, they visited all 48 continental United States. James was a former member of the Paris Henry County Rescue Squad, ambulance service, and was a current member of First United Methodist Church in Paris. He was a US Army veteran and during his time in the service, they visited several European countries including France, Germany, Holland, and Austria.

Born September 29, 1943, in Paris, he was the son of the late Samuel Curtis Paschall and the late Ella Katherine Nichols Paschall.

On June 14, 1964, James married Louise Fitzhugh Paschall, who survives of Paris.

In addition his to his wife of 61 years, he is also survived by his two children, Nicki (Trey) King of Murfreesboro, TN, and Curt (Carol) Paschall of Cross Plains, TN; a sister, Mary Evelyn Mathis of Paris; four grandchildren, Christopher (Nikki) Klopfenstein, Noah (Makayla) Halford, Grayson King, and Jack King; and two great grandchildren, Eva Kay Klopfenstein, and Asher Halford.

Along with his parents, James was preceded in death by two sisters, Minnie Mae Kimbel, and Bobbie Jean Nance; and two brothers, Clovis Edward Paschall, and Curtis Lee Paschall.

Ridgeway Funeral Home 201 Dunlap St./P.O. Box 788, Paris, TN 38242, will be handling the arrangements. Visitation will be held Saturday, December 27, 2025, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. His funeral service will be Saturday, December 27, 2025, at 12:00 pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home with Jackie Gardner officiating.

Pallbearers for the service will be Christopher Klopfenstein, Noah Halford, Grayson King, Jack King, Trey King, and Billy Fitzhugh. Ralph Tittle, M.L. Bailey, Jr., and James’s UPS family will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Burial with military honors will follow in Olive Branch Cemetery.
