Mary Ellen Blanton, age 71 of Paris, TN, passed away on Monday, December 22, 2025, at her residence.
Mary Ellen was a devoted member of Holy Cross Catholic Church for 50 years. She was a loving mother and grandmother who also served as a Cub Scout leader. She dedicated 53 years of her professional life as a broker, realtor, and office manager with Moody Realty. She was a member of and had previously served as secretary for the Tennessee Association of Realtors.
She was born in Grayslake, Il, on April 17, 1954, to the late Jerry Bell, Sr., and the late Carol Blakemore Bell.
On August 2, 1975, she married Glenn Blanton, who survives, of Paris, TN.
In addition to her husband of 50 years, Mary Ellen is survived by two sons, Michael Blanton of Paris, TN, and Chad (Brandy) Blanton of Clarksville, TN; three sisters, Diane (Joe) Clayton, Barbara (Dave) Holtgrewe, and Kathleen Hamlin (Fiancé J.C. Ramos), all of Paris; three brothers, Jerry (Tamara) Bell, Jr., Dale (Connie) Bell, and Jack Bell, all of Paris; one grandson, Everett T. Blanton; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street, Paris, TN, is handling the arrangements. Visitation is scheduled for Monday, December 29, 2025, from 4:00 until 6:30 pm with a rosary service to begin at 6:30 pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at 11:00 am at Holy Cross Catholic Church with Monsignor John B. McArthur, and Rev. Martin Orjianioke officiating.
Burial will follow at Memorial Cemetery with Gavin Moody, Rick Moody, Tom Blakemore, Rusty Farmer, Tom Cunningham, and Jack Hehn serving as pallbearers.
Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Jim Brandenburg, Phil Wichlan, and the Staff of Moody Realty.
