Winter Storm Update: Snow, Sleet Accumulation

uc-winter-storm

From the Union City Fire Department:
As of this morning, the National Weather Service believes the most likely case is that we’ll see 6-8” of snow and sleet accumulation over the weekend. The heaviest snow should be to our north, from the Kentucky line all the way to St. Louis. If the storm track shifts, we may get higher accumulations. Fortunately, the areas expected to get dangerous ice accumulations are far to our south. A change in the path of the storm is not likely to bring that here.
This storm will still bring with it plenty of winter hazards and bitterly cold temperatures. Now is the time to make final preparations and maybe some hot cocoa.
