Paris, Tenn. — Leadership Henry County Group 2, Class of 2025–2026, is proud to announce its community service initiative, “A Shed for The Shed,” a project dedicated to strengthening one of Henry County’s most impactful community resources.
Leadership Henry County is a year-long leadership development program that educates participants about the community, builds lasting relationships, and encourages intentional investment in Henry County. Group 2 members represent a wide range of local businesses and organizations and share a common commitment to service and community growth.
For their community service project, Group 2 chose The Shed, a donation center that serves as a lifeline for families across Henry County. From warm clothing to basic household necessities, The Shed helps neighbors meet everyday needs with dignity and care. However, the current shed is not only limited in space but also suffering from leaks and damage to its roof and floor, making it increasingly difficult to serve the community safely and effectively. This expansion will give The Shed the room it needs to accept more donations and reach more families, ensuring no neighbor is turned away. The Shed is located at the Henry County Sheriff’s Office and operated by Deputy Michelle Brewer.
The project is focused on raising monetary donations to make the purchase of a larger storage building and essential organizational materials possible. With a target completion date of May 2026, this effort relies on the generosity of individuals and businesses who are willing to step up and invest in their community. Every financial contribution helps move the project forward and brings The Shed one step closer to serving more Henry County families when they need it most.
Supporting this project is a chance to make a real difference for families right here in Henry County. Every donation helps The Shed continue its work, providing essential items to neighbors who need it most. Leadership Henry County Group 2 invites the community to step up and be part of this meaningful effort to expand The Shed and strengthen our county’s network of care.
Individuals or businesses interested in donating, sponsoring, or learning more about the project are encouraged to contact a member of Leadership Henry County Group 2 or the Paris-Henry County Chamber of Commerce.
