Paris, Tenn.–Today was an especially big day at the Henry County Helping Hand Radio Auction, with so many donations, it had to be split in two auctions: one the regular auction, the other a silent, in-house auction. There were 300 donations, making for a total of 25 slates at the regular auction and 65 items at the silent auction.

With the $8,665 raised, the overall total so far is at $191,033. Auctioneer was David Jackson and manning the phones were members of the Paris Lions Club.

Today’s items were donated by Covenant Ranch, Cub Scout Pack 28, Walmart, New Wave Buddy Ball, Tennessee Valley Association of Realtors, and rescheduled Commercial Bank & Trust.

Thursday will be another big day, with donations from Diamond Cove, Fairview Baptist Church, Henry County Farmers Market, Henry County High School Speech Team, Henry County High School Swim Team and the rescheduled Henry School.

Friday looks to be a big day, too, with PLUS Endowment, Henry County Cemetery Committee, County Archives, Genealogical Society, Chamber Music Society, Dyersburg State and the rescheduled Cottage Grove community.

The auction is held at the Paris Convention Center from January 12 through March 4 and you can participate and/or watch in several ways: You can listen on one of our radio stations, WHNY 104.7FM or 1000 AM or listen on our website at HenryCountyNow.com or the Henry County Helping Hand website at https://www.hchelpinghand.org/ Auction phone number is 644-1695.
