Dyersburg, Tenn. As of 2:45 p.m. today, the Dyersburg-Dyer County animal control officer, Tori, is on scene working to safely rescue a puppy that is stuck in a culvert. The Humane Society said, “We want to give a huge thank you to the Dyer County Highway Department for assisting and for using their equipment to help us access the area, and to Officer Chris Coale with the Dyer County Sheriff’s Office for being on scene and assisting as well. This is what community teamwork looks like — multiple agencies coming together to help one small life. We’ll continue to update everyone as we work to get this puppy safely out.
