Paris, Tenn.–Henry County District 5 Commissioner Jay Travis announced today he will not be seeking reelection to the position.
Travis said, “It’s been a privilege to serve as District 5 county commissioner over the last 3 plus years. I feel confident in the direction that Mayor Geiger has steered the commission and growth for the future of our county. I will not be seeking reelection as commissioner of district 5. I appreciate the support and cherish the friendships made during my time as commissioner.”
Henry County Elections Administrator DeLaina Green said no candidates have yet announced for District 5.
