
JACKSON, TENN. – WLJT-TV Channel 11 is adding a new local show to their lineup of West Tennessee productions, with Wayne Jerrolds’ Songs of Yesterday. Beginning March 7, 2026, the new weekly program will air Saturday nights 8pm-9pm, following, The Lawrence Welk Show.
“I’m honored to bring my music and program to Channel 11 viewers,” said show host and creator, Wayne Jerrolds, “I’ve been a WLJT viewer and supporter for years and look forward to sharing my show with their audience.”
The program features Jerrolds playing a mix of bluegrass, country, and gospel music with musicians from West Tennessee and neighboring Southern states. Jerrolds is a well-known bluegrass musician from Savannah, Tennessee and has been playing the fiddle since childhood. He has won over a hundred fiddle competitions across the country and has performed with country greats including, Reba McEntire, Loretta Lynn, and toured with the father of bluegrass, Bill Monroe. Jerrolds has also played at the Grand Ole Opry over 100 times throughout his career.

Wayne Jerrolds has organized the popular Savannah Bluegrass Festival for the past 47 years and continues to play weekly at local nursing homes and events.
Wayne Jerrolds’ Songs of Yesterday will join WLJT’s Saturday night’s local and music programs, including Steve Beverly’s TV Classics, The Lawrence Welk Show, RETRO 11, and Austin City Limits.
In addition to watching the show’s broadcast each week on Channel 11, viewers can also stream episodes on-demand on the PBS App, westtnpbs.org, and on YouTube Channel.
