Paris, Tenn.–A special presentation was made at the Henry County Helping Hand Radio Auction today. In memory of two long-time members of the Paris-Lakeway Kiwanis Club, club members and families gathered to present a $3,000 donation in honor of Gayle Griffith and John Childers.
Childers passed away February 27 and was a 40-year member of the local Kiwanis. Kiwanis posted on its Facebook page, “He was a servant leader and member of the paris- Lakeway Kiwanis Club for many many years. He will be greatly missed.”
Griffith passed away February 28 and was a servant leader and lifetime member of the Paris- Lakeway Kiwanis Club for 47 years. The annual Kiwanis Club Mexican Dinner would not be possible without his recipes and dedication over the years. “He will be greatly missed as the Club’s Sheriff. If you knew him, you knew his stories!” the Kiwanis Club said on its Facebook page.
