Union City, South Fulton Men Arrested On Drug Charges

Graves County, Ky.–Graves County deputies arrested a South Fulton driver and a Union City passenger on drug charges after an early-morning traffic stop.
On Wednesday, March 5, at 02:55 A.M., Deputy Austin Caldwell conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle near the intersection of Sanderson Road & Jimtown Road. Deputy Caldwell observed the vehicle commit a traffic violation.
The driver of the vehicle was identified as Lannie Phipps, 71-years-old of South Fulton, TN. One of the passengers in the vehicle was identified as Bobby J. Madding, 32-years-old of Union City, TN.
A vehicle search was conducted and methamphetamine, an amphetamine pill, drug paraphernalia, and marijuana were located. A digital scale commonly used in the distribution of illegal narcotics was found inside of the vehicle as well.
Phipps was placed under arrest for Trafficking in Methamphetamine, Possession of Controlled Substance 1st Degree, Tampering with Physical Evidence, Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Marijuana, and traffic charges.
Madding was placed under arrest for Possession of Methamphetamine and Drug Paraphernalia. Madding also had a bench warrant issued to him for his arrest out of Fulton County. Phipps and Madding were both transported to the Graves County Restricted Custody Center and later to an out-of-county detention center.
Deputy Austin Caldwell was assisted on scene by Deputy Andrew Prusaczyk and Sergeant David Harrison with the Mayfield Police Department.
