
Paris, Tenn.–The Henry Sheriff’s Office and Paris Police will be opening school Tornado Shelters this evening at 5 pm in anticipation of the expected severe weather Sunday afternoon.
Henry County EMA Director Ron Watkins said 75+mph winds with possible tornadoes are possible ahead of an extreme cold front moving through West Tennessee and Southwest Kentucky. A wind advisory has been issued for all of Western Tennessee and Southern Kentucky and a Tornado Watch will likely be issued this afternoon as the front moves closer from the west.

Harrelson School
Henry School
Lakewood School
Cottage Grove City Hall
Please monitor weather conditions this afternoon and have a plan to take shelter if needed. The Main Severe Threat timeline is 6-10pm. Freezing temperatures will filter in behind this so don’t put your coats up just yet!
