Jerry Brogdon

Jerry Brogdon, age 84 of Paris, TN, passed away on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, surrounded by family at his residence.

Jerry was born in Paris, Tn, on May 6, 1941, to the late Clifford Brogdon and the late Virgie Mai Holden Brogdon.

He married Sandra Kaye Brogdon on June 4, 1960. She preceded him in death Tuesday, January 20, 2026.

Jerry and his brother Joe, got their start in the car care business when they began to work for Ernest Greer. Three years later they bought the business from Ernest. Joe and Jerry’s Car Care Center has operated for more than 60 years under the Brogdon family. He enjoyed helping the many families that frequented their business, and working alongside his family.

He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. Jerry served his country for several years in the U.S ARMY. He enjoyed cattle farming and just being on the farm. He valued his time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Jerry is survived by two sons, Jeff (Gina) Brogdon of Paris, TN, and Stacy (Melissa) Brogdon of Paris, TN; eight grandchildren, Kelsey (Dylan) Casteel, Olivia Cate (Blake) Cossey, Hunter (Ashley) Brogdon, Tyler (Kori) Brogdon, Weston (Jaryn) Brogdon, Kara Brogdon, Emma (J.C.) Eubanks, and Brady Hawkins; seven great-grandchildren, Maddox Brogdon, Sutton Brogdon, Wylie Brogdon, Eli Brogdon, Blair Brogdon, Reese Brogdon, and Charlie Brooks Cossey; a sister-in-law, Phyllis Clayton;a sister in law, Jean Brogdon, her son Barry (Denise) Brogdon, brother in law, Tommy Heath; great nephew, Cliff Brogdon, and many other nieces and nephews.

Along with his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Joe Brogdon

Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street, Paris, TN, 38242, is handling the arrangements. Visitation will be held Saturday, March 21, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Ridgeway Funeral Home. A funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at Ridgeway Funeral Home, officiated by Bro. Glynn Orr.

Burial with military rights will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park with Weston Brogdon, Tyler Brogdon, Hunter Brogdon, Brady Hawkins, Blake Cossey, Dylan Casteel, J.C. Eubanks, and Christian Cathey serving as pallbearers.
