
Union City, Tenn.–Commercial Bank and Trust (CBTC) is pleased to announce that Joseph Sumara has joined the Union City Advisory Board. In this role, Sumara will provide valuable insight and guidance to help the bank continue serving the financial needs of the local community.
Sumara is a lifelong resident of Lake County and a local farmer. He operates Wynnsum Farms, where he oversees all aspects of the operation including management, purchasing, research, and day-to-day operations. Through his work in agriculture, Sumara has developed a deep understanding of the financial challenges and opportunities facing rural businesses and families.
His experience as both a business owner and a borrower provide a practical perspective that will help the Board as it works alongside CBTC leadership to support economic and financial growth and accessibility in the region. Sumara shared that he hopes to bring a focus on simplicity and practical solutions in his role.
In addition to his professional responsibilities, Sumara is actively involved in the community. He serves as a board member for Lifebeat Crossroads Women’s Clinic and is the President of the Lake County Lions Club. He is also a proud father of two daughters and credits his wife and daughters as a central part of his life.
CBTC leadership believes Sumara’s strong ties to the community and firsthand experience as a business owner will provide meaningful perspective to the advisory board as it continues supporting the bank’s mission of community-focused banking.
