
Dyer County, TN – — Recently, Dyer County K-9 Deputy Justin Jones and Investigator Jeremy Caldwell were conducting routine patrol on Highway 104 W Finley, Tennessee. During the patrol, K-9 Deputy Jones conducted a traffic stop on a black Ford Explorer near the intersection of Highway 104 West and Shannon Street. The stop was initiated due to an active warrant on the registered driver and an expired vehicle registration.
During the stop, Deputy Jones’s K-9 partner, Max, conducted a free air sniff around the exterior of the vehicle and provided a positive alert for the presence of narcotics. A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed narcotics concealed behind the center console.

The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, John Dustin Morris, age 42, was placed under arrest and charged with the following offenses:
• Possession of Schedule II Methamphetamine with Intent to Sell or Deliver (82 grams)
• Possession of Schedule II Fentanyl with Intent to Sell or Deliver (1/4 of a gram)
• Possession of Schedule I Ecstasy (MDMA) with Intent to Sell or Deliver (34 pills)
• Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
