Frank Hickman was born June 6, 1946 in Memphis, Tennessee to Frank Robert and Cecilia Jean (Marmino) Hickman.
Frank was raised in Memphis and graduated from Kingsbury High School in 1964, and went on to be the first white graduate to earn a Bachelor’s Degree from the all-black LeMoyne-Owen College. He also received a Master’s Degree in 1986. He owned and operated a weekly newspaper in Jackson, Tennessee in the 1970s.
Frank was united in marriage to Robin Ann Hanna on July 30, 1978 in Paris, Tennessee. They were married for 47 years and have two daughters – Lydia Ruth and Rachel.
God gifted Frank with many talents which he used to serve the Lord in pastoring, evangelizing, and teaching the Word throughout many states. His love of writing, golf, and pottery gave him opportunities to share the word of God. Frank’s favorite scripture was Ephesians 4:29-32, which he quoted often. He attended Velma Christian Fellowship. There are not enough words to describe Frank’s love for the body of Christ which he showed in both word and deed.
He is survived by his wife, Robin, his two daughters Lydia Ruth Keeling and husband Justin, and Rachel Smith and husband Steve. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren.
Special thanks go to Chisholm Trail Hospice for their kindness and care.
