UNION CITY, Tenn — Discovery Park of America has announced the 2026 lineup for its annual “Rhythm on the Rails” concert series, a free summer music festival held on Friday evenings from May 22 through July 3 on the Total Tech Solutions Stage.
Gates at the Train Depot entrance open at 5 p.m. each week. Live music begins at 6:30 p.m. Each evening features two acts representing a range of genres, including country, bluegrass, rock and Americana.
The 2026 festival will conclude Friday, July 3 with a performance by Hope MacGregor followed by headliner Mo Pitney. The concert will serve as the opening event for Discovery Park’s Independence Day weekend programming as part of the nationwide America 250 commemoration that is funded in part by the Tennessee Commission for the United States Semiquincentennial.
Pitney is known for a neotraditional country sound rooted in classic influences. His debut album, “Behind This Guitar,” debuted at No. 10 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart. His music emphasizes storytelling, faith and family themes and reflects a traditional style that appeals to multiple generations of country music listeners.
His recent work includes a vocal contribution to “Here Comes Jesus,” which received Southern Gospel Recorded Song of the Year at the 55th GMA Dove Awards.
In addition to Pitney, several nationally recognized and touring artists will be featured throughout the series. The Grascals, performing June 5, are an award-winning bluegrass group known for Grammy nominations, international touring and regular appearances at the Grand Ole Opry. Their collaborations with artists, including Dolly Parton, have helped establish them as one of the leading acts in contemporary bluegrass.
Adam Wakefield, scheduled for June 19, gained national recognition as the runner-up on season 10 of NBC’s The Voice. Wakefield brings a blend of country, soul and Southern rock influences and continues to tour nationally.
LOLO, also performing June 19, is known for her strong vocal style and modern approach to pop and alternative music.
“Rhythm on the Rails provides an opportunity to offer live music in an outdoor setting while introducing audiences to a range of performers,” said Discovery Park’s CEO, Scott Williams. “The July 3 concert with Mo Pitney aligns with the themes of the Independence Day weekend and the broader Tennessee America 250 celebration taking place across the state. With three hotels right next door, this event will provide a great place for families to come for the entire weekend.”
