Paris, Tenn.–Local Vietnam War veterans from the Marines, Army (including 101st Airborne), Navy, and Coast Guard shared their stories this morning at the 5th annual Henry County National Vietnam War Veterans Day Event at KPAC in Paris. Veterans’ Services Director Tony Lacy welcomed everyone to the event and invited local veterans to take advantage of the services that the office can provide. “Help us help you”, he said. “Don’t wait to tell us if you’re having a problem.” He said Henry County’s last WWII veteran died recently: Terri Bryan, age 101 of Puryear, and there aren’t too many Korean War veterans locally. “A man came into our office recently and he is 94 and was a former POW during Korea”, Lacy said. He and other veterans said it’s important for veterans to share their stories for their children and grandchildren.  The event was sponsored by the Henry County Veterans’ Service Office and KPAC.
