dpa-judging-duck

Union City, Tenn.–Discovery Park of America CEO Scott Williams served as a judge for the Tennessee Junior Duck Stamp Judging event hosted by West Tennessee National Wildlife Refuges. Five judges evaluated entries with support from several volunteers. The competition featured artwork from students in kindergarten through 12th grade across Tennessee. The top honor was awarded to Emma Zhou, a 12-year-old sixth-grade student from Brentwood, Tennessee, whose work was selected from among the best entries statewide. Her artwork will advance to the National Junior Duck Stamp Judging. All winning entries will be displayed at Discovery Park following an awards ceremony on May 30. The exhibit will be open to the public from May 30 through July 31, 2026. In 2023, Discovery Park opened a permanent exhibit, “Duck, Duck, Goose: Waterfowl of the Mississippi Flyway,” which explores the relationship between conservation and waterfowl hunting.
