Paris PD Reminds Everyone Of Parking Regulations For Fish Fry Grand Parade

fish-fry-start

Paris, TN – The Paris Police Department reminds citizens and visitors of the parking  regulations in effect for the World’s Biggest Fish Fry Grand Parade. Vehicles are strictly  prohibited from parking in travel lanes or on sidewalks along the parade route.

This policy was implemented last year following extensive consideration, with public safety  as the highest priority. Like many communities nationwide, we have updated event safety  procedures in response to increased attendance and evolving standards for large public  gatherings. We recognize this change impacts long-standing parking traditions and may  require attendees to adjust how they access and attend the parade.

Alternative Parking and Access Information:

  • Accessible parking: Limited handicap-accessible spaces will be available at the former  Pioneer Management Company building on E. Wood Street near Dairy Delight (valid tag  required; first come, first served).
  • Drop-off access: E. Wood Street between Tyson Avenue and Fairgrounds Road will  remain open as long as possible prior to the parade for passenger drop-off. • Additional parking: Available on nearby private property with owner permission.

We recognize that walking distances may present challenges, particularly for families, older  adults, and individuals with disabilities. Attendees are encouraged to plan ahead, arrive  early, and utilize drop-off options when needed.

The Paris Police Department will be actively patrolling the parade route before the event.  Vehicles parked in violation of this policy will be towed at the owner’s expense.

We appreciate the community’s patience and cooperation as we work to balance tradition,  accessibility, and safety. The World’s Biggest Fish Fry Grand Parade remains a valued  community tradition, and our goal is to ensure it remains safe, accessible, and enjoyable for  all.
