Murray, Ky.–On April 21, 2026, at approximately 1:36 PM, officers with the Murray Police Department were dispatched to Goodwill in reference to a reported stabbing. Upon arrival, officers located two victims. One individual had sustained a stab wound, while a second victim had been assaulted with a shovel. The victim with the stab wound was airlifted to a regional medical facility for further treatment.
As a result of the investigation, Madison Hinchey, age 30, of Murray, was arrested and charged with Attempted Murder, Assault 2nd Degree, and Assault 4th Degree. The Murray Police Department would like to thank Murray-Calloway County Ambulance Service, the Murray Fire Department, AirEvac, and the Calloway County Sheriff’s Office for their assistance.
