McKenzie, Tenn.–A suspect faces several charges after a missing juvenile was found at a residence in McKenzie. McKenzie Police have not released the suspect’s name or the charges.
At approximately 11:00 a.m. on May 5, 2026, the McKenzie Police Department received information from the Federal Bureau of Investigation regarding a missing juvenile believed to be located at a residence in McKenzie.
Officers responded to the location and successfully made contact with the juvenile, who was safely taken into protective custody without incident.
The Tennessee Department of Children’s Services was immediately notified, and the juvenile was transferred into their care.
Through the coordinated efforts of the McKenzie Police Department, the FBI, and DCS, the juvenile has been safely reunited with her family.
