Paris, Tenn.–Once again, Henry County and Benton County have joined together to help revitalize the largemouth bass population in Kentucky Lake by releasing 300,000 Florida strain bass into the waters. Officials in both counties thanked the Tennessee River Resort District, Henry County Tourism Authority, and TWRA for making the project possible. Henry County Commissioner Monte Starks said two-thirds of the 300,000 bass were released into Henry County. The bass fingerlings come from American Sportfish Hatchery each year. Starks said the fingerlings were released at several spots in both counties, including at Paris Landing State Park. TWRA was on site to test and weigh the fish before their release, he said.
