Kickoff for Union City’s home-opening football game against Decatur County Riverside on Friday night has been pushed back to 7:30 due to the extreme heat.
The game was originally scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.
The contest will be the first for the Tornadoes at newly renovated War Memorial Stadium after UC opened the 2026 campaign with a pair of road games.
Union City will enter the game with a 0-2 record, having lost to Jackson Christian School and Dyer County. Riverside is 1-1 with a loss against Lexington and a win vs. Camden.
