A 37-year-old Erin woman is facing multiple charges after being arrested and booked Monday following a drug bust in Stewart County, according to a Tuesday afternoon news release from the Stewart County Sheriff’s Office.

The release said Monday afternoon, Sgt. Robbie MacDonald conducted a traffic stop on Preston Baggett Road. The driver refused consent to search her vehicle when drugs were suspected but once K-9 Harry was about to be deployed the driver gave consent.

Meth, marijuana and drug paraphernalia were found, the release said.

MacDonald also saw evidence that led him to believe the driver was hiding drugs in her pants. It was later found that she had a bag of meth, 11.9 grams of meth, which was hidden in her pants between her legs.

Hale was arrested and charged with several charges including manufacture/sell/deliver/possession Schedule II, contraband in a penal institution, fabricating/ tampering with evidence, simple possession or casual or casual exchange, unlawful drug paraphernalia, driving un-insured and the seatbelt law.
