stew-co-harry

Dover, Tenn.–The Stewart County Sheriff’s Office awarded both of its K-9s with their own badges this week. Sheriff Frankie Gray presented “Harry” and “Stormy” each with their own personal badge as recognition of their work combating drugs in the county.

In their brief 18-months’ careers both dogs have each surpassed 150 alerts. Alert meaning that they indicated to their handler the presence of drugs. These alerts have led to over 300 drug related charges, along with numerous drugs, cash, property and vehicles being seized. They also are responsible for three physical apprehensions of suspects this year.

The Sheriff’s Office also wants to recognize their handlers Deputy Shane Keatts and Sgt. Robbie MacDonald for their work and dedication to these dogs and their training.
