Paris, Tenn.–It was a busy day and a busy night at the Henry County Fairgrounds today as a day-long schedule of livestock shows ended with the annual Junior Livestock Show.
A good-sized crowd was on hand at the Livestock Barn, with even more people listening to the live broadcast on WLZK and watched it on Facebook Live. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, bidding also was accepted online and by telephone for the first time.
Bidding at the auction was swift and prices were good for the steer, hogs, goats and lamb shown.
The remaining event of this year’s abbreviated fair is the Country Ham Auction which will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Commercial Building at the fairgrounds.
