Paris, Tenn.–Additional charges of animal cruelty were filed Tuesday against a Paris woman whose home on Jackson Drive was the object of a rescue operation by the Henry County Sheriff’s Office and Animal Rescue Corps in June.
Iola Gannon, age 43, of 180 Jackson Dr., is now charged with 20 counts of animal cruelty. She was served by Cpl. Gary Carroll when she appeared in Henry County General Sessions Court on a disorderly conduct charge stemming from the same incident.
She is being held on $10,000 bond at the Henry County Jail.
Meanwhile, a warrant has been issued for her husband Jonathan Gannon, who also is charged with 20 counts of cruelty to animals.
The Sheriff’s Office and Animal Rescue Corps responded to a complaint of animals living in unfit conditions. Some 45-50 small breed dogs were seized from the residence.
