Message from Coach Welp: “As usual, our kids represented Henry County in a way that would make our community proud. Lots of ups and downs as a golfer, but our kids always keep their heads high and are respectful to their opponents and the game. The boys team bounced back from a difficult round at the district tournament to shave 27 strokes off our team score. Really proud of their effort and excited at what the future holds for them. The girls had a tough day and that is part of golf. However, they never hung their heads and continued to grind through it.
“We’re losing 4 seniors this year and they will be missed. Raven Page, Madeline Griffey, Jacob Arnold, and Zane Harper. I could go on and on about all four and how much I’ve appreciated their efforts and attitudes while they’ve played for us. Good golfers but even better kids. All four will go on to be successful in whatever they do in life and I look forward to seeing what all they will accomplish!”
