Murray Man Charged With Arson Of Camper

Murray, Ky.–A Murray man was arrested on an arson charge by Calloway County Sheriff’s Office. Anthony T. Davis, age 23, was arrested early this morning near the scene of the Sunday fire after he fled from authorities when they transported him to the hospital.
On Sunday, December 20, 2020, at approximately 1 p.m., Calloway County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to Skylark Road for a report of a camper on fire. Upon their arrival, they located Anthony Davis at the scene with burn related injuries. Davis was transported to Mayfield, Kentucky for treatment, where he fled from authorities. Calloway County Sheriff’s Office obtained an arrest warrant for Arson 2nd Degree (Class B Felony).
On Monday, December 21, 2020, at approximately 7 a.m., Calloway County Sheriff’s Office received information from the Kentucky State Police that Davis was possibly in the area of Skylark Road. Deputies responded to the area and located Davis, in a vehicle which had been reported to the Kentucky State Police as stolen overnight.
Anthony T. Davis, age 23, of Murray, Kentucky was arrested and charged with Arson 2nd Degree. The Kentucky State Police are handling the stolen vehicle investigation and any associated charges related to that investigation.
